Julien has been programming visuals for more than 15 years
on various types of
computers, having grown up with the
Atari ST demoscene culture. It introduced him to
real-time visual programming and since then he has been kept
fascinated by animated graphics that can be gena computer whatever the used tool or language.
Arnaud Castagnés' definition of his music is a "dance music" builts from hip hop samples, deep basslines, cut-up beats and melodic synths.He puts some clicks and other
electric errors too.

The workshop focuses on creating a collaborative real-time
animation with sound
output. Thanks to a prepared Processing sketch, each workshop
participant will be encouraged to tweak&hack his own version of
the program. His coding & actions will
directly affect a composition shown on a big screen in real-time, with audio input
tweaking as well. Participant will not only be able to change the
software code itself in
order to modify the behaviour but also learn
to compose with it.
